Wings and Wheels 2026 Chickasha airshow and car show with fighter jets flying overhead and classic muscle cars at Chickasha Municipal Airport Oklahoma

Chickashaโ€™s Wings & Wheels Airshow Returns for Year 8 – And It Keeps Getting Bigger.

Chickasha Wings and Wheels 2026 airshow and car show is back June 6 with a new performer lineup and more than 5,500 expected.

What started as a community airshow has grown into one of central Oklahoma’s most anticipated free summer events. The City of Chickasha will host the 8th Annual Wings & Wheels Airshow & Car Show on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Chickasha Municipal Airport, 2344 Beechcraft Rd. Gates open at 8 a.m. Admission and parking are free.

Organizers are expecting more than 5,500 attendees, a solid number reflecting just how far the event has come. When Wings & Wheels was still finding its footing in its early years, crowds hovered around 4,000. By 2025, that number had climbed past 5,500, and this year’s organizers are projecting the same strong turnout.

“Wings & Wheels has become one of Chickasha’s favorite summer traditions, bringing families, aviation enthusiasts, and car lovers together for a day of free, family-friendly fun,” said Mayor Zachary Grayson. “We’re excited to welcome visitors from across Oklahoma for another unforgettable event.”

Chickasha Wings and Wheels 2026: A Refreshed Performer Lineup

The airshow kicks off at noon and is expected to wrap between 2:00 pm and 2:30 p.m. This year’s roster brings back several fan favorites while adding some new faces to the Chickasha sky.

Returning performers include Erik Edgren, Stephen Covington, Michael T. “Spanky” Gallaway, Curt and Paul Richmond, Jeff Cain, and Aaron Taylor. New to the 2026 lineup are Galen Killam and the Cimarron Strip Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, replacing 2025 acts Leland Kracher, Twisted Texan Airshows, and Falcon Flight.

Last year’s show featured popular static displays, including Lady Liberty, complete with a children’s train ride, and the B-25 bomber Devil Dog. The 2026 featured aircraft have not yet been announced, so there’s still something to look forward to as June approaches.

Returning to the microphone is Allen Mitchell, the Voice of the Flying Circus, with Scott McMillan of Mile High Air Boss back as air boss – the same announcing duo that helmed last year’s show.

The Car Show is Growing Too

Chickasha Wings and Car Show 2026

On the ground, the NAPA Car Show presented by Marshall Auto Supply NAPA continues to expand. Last year’s show drew more than 130 classic and modern vehicles. This year, organizers are touting a car show with more than 100 cars on the taxiway, though based on recent trends, expect that number to be exceeded.

Award categories span every decade from the 1950s and earlier through late model, plus motorcycles and sprint cars. Overall awards include Best Paint, Pilot’s Choice, People’s Choice, and Best in Show. Car show registration runs from 8 a.m. to noon, with the awards presentation following the conclusion of the aerobatic performances. Pre-registration is available now at chickasha.gov/wings at no cost.

500 Kids and Counting

One of the event’s quieter milestones is also one of its most meaningful. Since Wings & Wheels first launched, more than 500 children have taken their first airplane ride through the Young Eagles program. In 2024 alone, more than 100 kids went up.

This year, children ages 8 to 17 can again register for a free flight courtesy of EAA volunteers starting at 8 a.m. Space is limited and fills up fast; families are strongly encouraged to arrive at opening to secure a spot.

What to Know Before You Go

Food trucks will serve breakfast, snacks, and lunch from 8 a.m., alongside vendor booths throughout the day. Free bottled water will be available on site. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early (in past years, traffic near the airport has backed up significantly by 11 a.m.). Also bring a pair of sunglasses, some sunscreen, and a lawn chair, or a picnic-style blanket.

Shuttles will run from the parking lot to the entrance, and handicap-accessible parking is reserved near the gate. Weapons, coolers, alcohol, animals, and unauthorized motor vehicles, including ATVs, scooters, and skateboards, are not permitted on airport property. Medical devices, including motorized wheelchairs, are allowed.

Chickasha Wings and Wheels 2026 is presented by the City of Chickasha and Chickasha Wings, with Marshall Auto Supply NAPA as the car show title sponsor.
